Greeters gatherings are typically held the first Wednesday of each month from 8:30 - 9:30 am at various Chamber member host locations throughout Philomath.

Come network in a fun and relaxed atmosphere! It's a great opportunity to visit Philomath Chamber members and show support for our business community. Organic Vegetable Gardening for Beginners Class

This class goes over the basics of starting an organic vegetable garden from the soil up, and caring for it over the entire year. Learn water wise tactics that will save your roots and your utility bill in summer, healthy fertilization schedules that will help keep pests at bay, and what to do if you spot pests. Winter doesn't mean a stop to gardening, we will also cover planting cover crops to reduce leaching and keep your garden looking great year round!

Grow your ferns in a way that mimics their natural environment and looks beautiful. 

This workshop will provide everything you need to mount and grow a fern on a piece of wood. You will have a few epiphytic fern species to choose from on the day of the class. Care information will also be provided to keep your living art happy and healthy.

Chamber Forum Luncheons are held the third Thursday of each month from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church at 2540 Applegate Street in Philomath.

These luncheons bring the general membership and guests together for networking, in addition to inviting speakers who give topical presentations of interest to businesses.

Getting into Beekeeping Class

There is a lot to learn as a new beekeeper! In this class we will cover a brief history of beekeeping that will put modern day beekeeping into perspective. We will also learn how to build a beehive and the vocabulary necessary to understand all components, including essential tools and apparel. We also cover basic social organization of honey bees and differences between honey bee breeds. Finally, we cover how to procure live bees in different ways.

Calling all carnivorous plant enthusiasts. This workshop will guide you through making and caring for your own butterwort rock garden. 

In their natural habitat in tropical Mexico, butterworts can be found growing in cracks and crevices on damp rocks. This rock garden showcases these plants' beauty in a naturalistic way.
